Born from the merger of two beloved Lake Charles institutions—The Harlequin Steaks & Seafood (est. 1956), founded by the Hunter family, and The Italian Villa (est. 1986), founded by the Sperandeo family—Villa Harlequin carries forward a legacy of hospitality rooted in tradition. Chef Colin Nunez at the Helm

Bell City native Executive Chef Colin Nunez leads Villa Harlequin's kitchen with a philosophy rooted in tradition and driven by innovation. Blending rustic Italian techniques with contemporary American influences, he has helped shape a menu defined by thoughtful execution and creative vision—from his celebrated Airline Chicken and Braised Beef Cheek to ever-changing weekly Chef's Features. His appointment has been hailed as a pivotal moment in the continued evolution of Villa Harlequin.
